Erna was the Project manager of RRING and GRRIP (march 2020-may 2021) and researcher in MUSICA H2020 project. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Science with research interest  in plant physiology, biochemistry and in vitro culture and responsible research. For the past several years she actively advocated for better position of Young scientists as a member of board of directors of ICORSA (International consortium of Research Staff Associations), and as representative of early-career scientists of Western Balkans in several Joint Science conferences within Berlin process. Erna is also a member of GYA.

Currently, she is the manager for the staff of ICoRSA.
