Policy concerning research careers is determined internationally through a variety of global organisations. At present, there is no consistent voice representing research staff and postdoctoral scholars in international policy. The International Consortium of Research Staff Associations (ICoRSA) will provide this collective voice, advocate on behalf of research staff and postdoctoral scholars, and inform international research policy. The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vitae.ac.uk\/communities\/uk-research-staff-association\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" style=\"color: rgb(123, 196, 230); transition: all 150ms ease-in 0s;\">UK Research Staff Association<\/a>&nbsp;supported by&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vitae.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" style=\"color: rgb(123, 196, 230); transition: all 150ms ease-in 0s;\">Vitae<\/a>, the US&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalpostdoc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" style=\"color: rgb(123, 196, 230); transition: all 150ms ease-in 0s;\">National Postdoctoral Association<\/a>, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.irishrsa.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" style=\"color: rgb(123, 196, 230); transition: all 150ms ease-in 0s; margin-bottom: 0px;\">Irish Research Staff Association<\/a>&nbsp;are currently the driving force behind ICoRSA, with increasing involvement from other national and international associations that together constitute the founding membership. The mission of ICoRSA is to expand its network among existing researcher associations, but more importantly to sow the seeds of formation of new associations in countries where RSA do not yet exist.
