The Latin American chapter of the World Association of Young Scientists (WAYS-LAC) was  launched in November 2013 at the World Science Forum in Rio de Janeiro. The Network (auspiced by UNESCO and ICSU-LAC and supported by AAAS and Georgetown University) seeks to connect and support early career researchers in Latin America to broaden their career opportunities and promote regional and international mobility.

These goals are in line with ICoRSA’s vision. It is therefore only natural that the two groups are working together to provide a collective voice to Early Career Researchers in Latin America at the regional and international level.
